The Canvas Business Model is a great tool aiming at understanding the potentialities of a business idea.
It was created by Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur with the help of BIC LAZIO and LAZIO REGION in the frame of the 3C 4 Incubators project.
The Canvas game allows to share complex concepts in a simple way and to create a universal language easily understandable to all.
To realise the business model of a new enterprise or to redesign the business model of your own enterprise can become a participatory process, creative and engaging.
Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur are the creators of Canvas Business Model framework which can be compared to a “canvas”, a
work table which uses the visual thinking logical and allows with a single sheet of paper to undertand visually the interconnection of the various elements that make up the company. Some elements will constitute costs to be incurred, other elements will
generate cash flow. Of course, the aim is to have a positive balance being able to generate profit. The framework is made of 9 blocks which identify the 9 entities to be analyzed to get to a cost/income evaluation the most accurate possible.
